National History Day Help at the Library
Local middle and high school students struggling to imagine and create projects for National History Day have a new set of allies this year – the librarians at the Longmont Public Library. Beginning November 27, students in grades 6 through 12 can request an hour-long, one-on-one appointment with a professional librarian during December or January. The librarians can help students develop project ideas, locate resources, conduct research, and identify useful contacts. Request an appointment online at bit.ly/LibTeens.

Share Your Holiday Lights with LPC
There’s nothing like a bright string of lights to welcome in the holidays, and Longmont Power & Communications would like to see and share some of your favorite Longmont displays. Take a photo of a display that you love – whether it’s a gentle and sweet indoor glow, or an outside array that’s more brilliant than Las Vegas – and email it to us at LPC_Marketing@longmontcolorado.gov or send it by private message to the Longmont Power & Communications Facebook page. We’ll put some of our favorites in a Facebook photo album for everyone to see, with the photographer’s name. And remember to check out our safety tips for your own decorations in the November City Line online at bit.ly/NovCityLine.
