Help Keep Leaves Out of Our Streams
Rain and melting snow carry leaves through storm drains directly to our waterways. The nutrients in leaves can harm aquatic ecosystems but are great for composting. Please collect fallen leaves and take them to community drop-off events or municipal facilities, or use your leaves as protective mulch on your lawn, trees, and plants!
Southside Leaf Collection the Week
Fall Leaf Collection continues this week for residences south of 9th Avenue. Bags must be out before 7 am today and should be left out the entire week until collected. Leaves must be in bags. Paper collection bags can be picked up from the Longmont Recycling Center at no charge, while supplies last. Visit the Fall Leaf Collection webpage at Leaf Collection online for the schedule, map and details for this free service. Leaves can also be dropped off at the recycling center year-round or added to your composting cart for curbside collections.
