Free Guided Bird Walk at Sandstone
Join local birder Carl Starace in exploring a wide variety of local birds as he guides you around the Sandstone Ranch loop trail. This free walk happens on Tuesday, October 28, from 8 to 11 am. “Hunchback of Notre Dame” w/Live Music
Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra will provide live musical accompaniment for this silent classic in the Longmont Museum’s Stewart Auditorium Thursday, Oct. 30 at 7 pm. In 15th century Paris, the hunchback Quasimodo (Lon Chaney) lives in the towers of Notre Dame Cathedral – and is wrongly accused of a crime. Last Chance for Sister Cities Travel!
The City of Longmont offers an incredible experience for SVVSD students to visit our 3 sister cities this summer: Chino, Japan, Ciudad Guzman, Mexico, and the Northern Arapaho, Wind River Reservation. Students stay with host families and learn about a new place from those who live there. Costs start at $50 and scholarships are available. Student applications are due October 31. Noche de Museo: Day of the Dead
Celebrate Dia de Muertos at the Longmont Museum Saturday, Nov. 1 at 7 pm with a night of live performances that span the ages, from ancient Aztecan dance with Grupo Azteca Tlahuizcalli to the genre-bending rock and roll of iZCALLi. Meet the “The Only Good Indians” Author
The Library @ The Museum welcomes celebrated novelist, Stephen Graham Jones, to the Longmont Museum Sunday, Nov. 2, from 2:30-4:30 pm. A CU Boulder Professor of Distinction and member of the Blackfeet Nation, Jones blends Indigenous identity and horror in his acclaimed fiction. Moderated by Poet Laureate ZBassSpeaks. Celebrate Native American Heritage
Longmont’s Native American Heritage Month Celebration will be held on Saturday November 8, 2025, from 11 am to 4 pm, at the Longmont Senior Center (910 Longs Peak Ave). This free event is open to the public of all ages and features family activities, Native dancers and drummers, storytelling, a short film screening, food, giveaways and more.
