Traffic Advisory: Nelson Road Paving Scheduled for August 25–28

Beginning August 25 through August 28, motorists along Nelson Road between Ken Pratt Boulevard and Hover Street should expect traffic impacts as paving work takes place.

During this period, traffic in the area is expected to be congested and significantly impacted. Drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route and allow additional travel time when traveling through the area.

Additionally, the intersection of Nelson Road and Sunset Street will be closed intermittently while paving crews work through the intersection. Closures will occur as needed to safely and efficiently complete the paving operation.

Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time, watch for changing traffic patterns, and use caution when traveling through the work zone. Business access will be maintained as much as possible throughout construction.

These improvements are part of the City’s Pavement Management Program to maintain and enhance Longmont’s transportation infrastructure.
