Starting Monday October 21, there will be a full closure of both lanes of traffic on Longs Peak Avenue between Coffman Street and Terry Street for approximately three weeks. Traffic on Longs Peak Avenue from Main Street will be able to turn right onto northbound Coffman Street only. Traffic on Longs Peak Avenue heading east from Bross Street will detour at Terry Street to 6th Avenue. 

When the full closure is lifted in early November, one lane of through traffic will be open on Longs Peak Avenue across Coffman Street. The lane closures will alternate between eastbound and westbound. Work on the intersection will continue for several months with intermittent lane closures as necessary to complete planned improvements, including a new traffic signal and pavement.  

Throughout the week of October 21, there will be intermittent daily closures of 8th Avenue west of Coffman Street. Vehicles are encouraged to use 9th Avenue to travel east and west in the area north of Roosevelt Park.    

Also starting October 21, 6th Avenue will re-open west of Coffman Street. Traffic will be able to move through the intersection in both directions. Parking and sidewalks on 6th Avenue will be fully accessible.
