What Do You Love About St. Vrain Creek? Show Us in an Art Contest!

Spotting a heron, biking along the greenway, or a picnic by the water? Every student has a reason to love local water.

Our partners at the Keep It Clean Partnership want to see those reasons in art. Their free contest is open to K-12 students in the St. Vrain Valley and Boulder Valley school districts. Some Longmont winners even saw their art on City recycling trucks last year!

What to submit

One flat 8.5” x 11” piece of art and a sentence that finishes one of these prompts: “I love St. Vrain Creek because…” or “I love [your favorite water place] because…” Students can use any medium, such as crayons, markers, pencils, paint, pastels, fabric, watercolor, chalk, or collage. Photos and digital art aren’t accepted.
