About a third of North America overpays for the internet.
That’s one conclusion from the recent release of the Global Internet Value Index, which compares price-affordability ratios for 117 countries. And despite making a few headlines, it’s not exactly shocking. After all, when it comes to internet service, we all know that “you get what you pay for” is far less common than it should be.
Outside of Longmont, Colorado, anyway.
NextLight, Longmont’s community-owned internet service, came about in 2014 because our residents demanded better. And we’ve worked hard to provide it ever since. That includes:
- Monthly rates that have stayed the same year after year, with no need to haggle over contracts or worry about data caps and overages.
- Reliability that has made Longmont one of the best work-from-home cities in the nation … and has also made NextLight the nation’s best ISP for gaming.
- Locally-based service that’s easy to work with when you need help or information.
- Income-based discounts to help all of Longmont cross the digital divide.
- And yes, there’s also that little matter of being one of the fastest providers in the country, powering up homes, schools and businesses with a connection that meets all their needs. (And the fast keeps getting faster, with connections that go up to 10 gig and a high-powered WiFi 6 whole home solution that pours NextLight’s fiber-fast speed into your wireless connection.)
If you’re new to NextLight, check us out. (And if you’re an old hand, bring on some friends – you’ll get a discount for it.) However you define “value” for your internet service, we think you’ll find NextLight fits the bill.
And we wouldn’t change that for the world.
