The City of Longmont can help you save money.

We offer financial help and rebates for several household costs including:

  • Groceries sales tax
  • Home repairs
  • Electricity
  • Recreation scholarships
  • City property tax/rent
  • True North low-income home ownership
  • NextLight’s Internet Assistance Program
  • Life support discount
  • Water
  • Efficiency programs
  • Park and greenway maintenance fee

How to qualify for financial help and rebates

If you already get help through any of these programs, you can receive help with Longmont CAReS+:

  • LEAP
  • SNAP (food assistance)
  • Medicaid-MSP or SLMB (Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary)
  • 104PTC
  • WIC
  • Housing Voucher
  • Section 8

If you do not have any of them, you can still apply using paystubs or income statements.

If you get support through another program with the same or lower income limits (like LEAP), you can ask us to accept that program and add it to our list.

How to apply

  1. Fill out one simple form.
  2. You can apply once a year.
  3. You must reapply every year.
