Thanksgiving Day Information
Longmont City government observes the Thanksgiving Day holiday on November 27 and Friday, November 28. Most City facilities will be closed. See below for specific hours, etc. for City buildings. Emergency services, parks, outside recreation areas, etc. will be open. The City of Longmont Waste Services’ collections will be one day early during the week of Thanksgiving. Bins should be at the curb before 7 am one day earlier than normal and remain out until picked up. Were you missed? Call 303-651-8416 to schedule pick-up. Holiday Hours for Specific City Facilities
The Civic Center will be closed on the Thanksgiving Day holiday and Friday, November 28.

The Development Services Center will be closed on the Thanksgiving Day holiday and on Friday, November 28.
This includes all Planning, Building Services, Code Enforcement, PWNR Engineering and Parking Enforcement services.
The Longmont Museum’s galleries are currently closed for construction. Programs will continue throughout the gallery closure. We have both a summer camp and an outdoor concert that day. Plan Your Future Visit
The Longmont Library will be closed on the Thanksgiving Day holiday and on Friday, November 28.
The Longmont Recycling Center will be closed on the Thanksgiving Day holiday and on Friday, November 28.
The Longmont Service Center at 1100 S. Sherman St. will be closed on the Thanksgiving Day holiday and on Friday, November 28.
- For outages and other urgent electric matters, call Longmont Power & Communications at 303-651-8386. The lines are monitored 24 hours a day so that LPC crews can respond as quickly as possible.
- NextLight technical support can be reached from 8 am to 5 pm by calling 303-774-4494. As always, the network team will keep an eye on after-hours phone messages and network conditions, so that urgent situations can be addressed.
Emails and Facebook messages will not be seen until the offices re-open on Wednesday, November 12.
Public Safety Administration offices will be closed on the Thanksgiving Day holiday and on Friday, November 28.
Emergency services and Records will be available.
St. Vrain Memorial Building
- Closed on Thanksgiving; Open regular hours (7 am – 7 pm) on Nov. 28
Ice Pavilion
- Closed on Thanksgiving; Open skate from 1-6 pm on Nov. 28
Centennial Pool
- Closed on Thanksgiving; Open 9 am – 2 pm on Nov. 28
Recreation Center
- Closed on Thanksgiving; Open regular hours (5 am – 9 pm) on Nov. 28
Activity Pools
- Closed for the season.
Sunset Pool
- Closed for the season.
Union Reservoir
- Closed on Thanksgiving and closed on Nov. 28
The Senior Center will be closed on the Thanksgiving Day holiday and on Friday, November 28.
The airport will remain open; however, the Administration building will be closed on the Thanksgiving Day holiday and on Friday, November 28.
The Longmont Youth Center will be closed on the Thanksgiving Day holiday and on Friday, November 28.
