2025 Basic Handgun and Concealed Carry Course (Saturdays 8am-5pm)

Thinking of buying a handgun as a first time handgun owner or interested in getting training to apply for your concealed carry license? Do you just want to get back to the basics of handgun safety?  Learn how to safely store, carry, and shoot your handgun.  This co-ed course is a combination of classroom and range time, appropriate for all level of shooters.  Gain valuable knowledge and skills of the shooting sport, fundamentals of marksmanship, reloads, and clearing malfunctions.

This course exceeds state standards for concealed carry permit (CCW) requirements.  Each participant will receive a certificate upon course completion. CCW permits must be obtained in the county in which you reside.

• 2025 Dates: January 18, February 15, March 15, April 19, May 17, June 21, July 19, August 16, September 20, October 18, November 15, December 20.  All classes are on Saturday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.

Unless indicated, all classes are held at the Longmont Department of Public Safety and Boulder County Sheriff's Office Range and Training Facility
