Thank you for considering Callahan House for your special event! Please review the information below and let us know if you would like to schedule a site visit or a phone call to get more details.

Callahan House is very happy to provide you with all the information you will need to have a successful and enjoyable event at our historic venue. We can recommend preferred catering and other vendors that excel in special event services. Callahan House does not provide event planning services. Catering may be required depending on your event details.

Preferred, full-service catering is required for all weddings.

 Callahan House preferred caterers:

Wedding Catering:

  • Callahan House requires the use of one of our fantastic, preferred caterers for all weddings.
  • Additional rentals such as dishware, glassware, flatware, and linens MUST be rented through your caterer and cannot be rented directly by you, the client.
  • Alternatively, you can bring in disposable items. Details for this can be arranged with your caterer. Recyclable items are preferred.
  • Please arrange for a friend or family member to have their car loaded at the end of your event with your leftover food and alcohol, gifts, décor, and personal items. Catering staff will ready these items for loading prior to event ending time.
  • Catering provides event staff for setup and cleanup of the venue as well as management of your timeline, buffet, and alcohol service.
  • They are your go-to team for your special day!

All Other Event Catering:

  • Depending on your food, beverage, and setup additional staffing/fees may be applied, or full-service catering may be required.
  • Full-service catering is required for a full meal/buffet, plated dinners or for any food that requires refrigeration or heating.
  • Self-catering is allowed only for room temperature, pre-plattered light snacks or desserts which are self-served and cleaned up by the client.
  • Callahan House offers an in-house catering service provided by Sprouts for some event types. Please inquire with the House Manager if you are interested in this service.
  • The Callahan House kitchen is for use by house staff or catering staff only.
  • If dishware, glassware, flatware, or linens are rented, it is required these be rented through your caterer or through Callahan House.
  • Alternatively, disposable items can be brought in by the client.
  • Alternatively, Callahan House can provide dishware, glassware, flatware, and linens for up to 50 people, for indoor use only, upon advance request, for $5 per person.
  • If catering is not used, Callahan House can provide tea/coffee service, upon advance request, for $3.50 per person.
  • We request sugary/sticky beverages not be served inside Callahan House.

Alcohol Service:

  • Please notify us as soon as possible if you wish to serve alcohol at your event.
  • Alcohol is provided by you and can be pre-ordered and delivered to Callahan House only during your drop off-time or event setup time or you can drop it off yourself only during those times.
  • Ice is also provided by you and can be purchased along with your alcohol order. Catering can let you know how much ice to order.
  • Alcohol cannot be self-served at any time. Alcohol service is provided by your caterer, a third-party bartending service, or by Callahan House Staff which requires an additional staffing fee.
  • No hard alcohol can be consumed on the premises including before the event, in canned cocktails, or in mixed drinks.
  • Alcohol can only be consumed for a total of 5 hours.
  • Kegs are prohibited.
  • You and your guests must adhere to the Callahan House Alcohol Policy which will be provided to you at booking. You will be required to sign this policy.

  • It is recommended to limit alcohol options to 2-3. For example, 2 types of wine and 2 types of beer, etc. This ensure your guests are served efficiently and you take home as much unopened product as possible at the end of your event.
