Callahan House is perfect for a variety of special occasions:

Callahan House Facility Rental Areas

Main House

  • 36 seated guests for an indoor meal buffet or tea (additional 8 guests in summer on the porch)
  • 44 seated guests for an indoor plated meal (additional 8 guests in summer on the porch)
  • 75 guests for an indoor open house appetizer buffet

The house is wheelchair accessible on the main floor only. Restrooms are available on both floors.

Garden

  • 100 guests for a garden event May-October, with access to the main house

Automobile House

  • Up to 15 guests
  • Living room atmosphere – couch, table, chairs, lamps
  • Small kitchenette – microwave refrigerator and coffeemaker
  • Separate bathroom
  • Serves as wedding party get ready space.
  • Event equipment is discretely stored in this space.

Upstairs Meeting Room

  • Up to 40 guests
  • Projector and screen with HDMI available

Inclusions

  • A unique venue with historic charm
  • Indoor/porch tables and chairs for 36-48 guests
  • Outdoor tables and chairs for up to 100 guests
  • Buffet/beverage/cake tables, DJ table
  • One venue staff

What will it cost to hold your event at Callahan House?

Fees, structure, and information provided is subject to change unless an initial reservation payment has been made by the client.

A historic preservation fee, damage deposit, and event liability insurance are required for all private events.

  • Callahan House is rented on an hourly basis with hour minimum requirements.
  • The 9% historic preservation fee helps to maintain our National Historic Landmark.
  • The damage deposit is $500 for preferred or self-catering or $800 for non-preferred catering but is fully refundable if no damage occurs during your event. This is separate from the initial reservation fee.
  • Event liability insurance requirements are outlined in the Callahan House Rental Use Agreement which you will receive when booking.
  • Additional fees may be applied depending on the details of your event.

Rental Times

When you reserve the Callahan House for your event, rental time begins with the beginning of setup and ends with completion of cleanup.

  • Guests will depart at the end of your event time.
  • All catered events require 2 hours of setup time.
  • All events end by 10pm with cleanup ending at 11pm.
  • Events lasting longer than agreed upon rental times will incur additional fees.

Reserving Your Date

  • Event dates will be held only upon receipt of initial reservation payment which is 1 hour of your rental time. This payment is non-refundable if you cancel your reservation but will count towards your final payment.
  • A detailed estimate is provided before payment is due.
  • Final payment is due two weeks prior to your event.
  • For rentals made more than 3 months in advance, a half payment may be due before final payment.
  • Refunds cannot be granted once payments are made if you cancel your reservation.
