Update on City Council Ward 2 Vacancy

On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, the members of the Longmont City Council discussed the Charter requirements for replacing outgoing Ward 2 Councilmember Marcia Martin, who vacated her seat effective December 31, 2024.

 

Following this discussion, residents of Ward 2 were invited to apply to fill the vacant seat in a news release. Read the news release, published December 16, 2024.

 

On January 8, 2025 the application process closed. Twenty-two applications were received and all applicant names are listed below. Those who are qualified are indicated with an asterisk. All other applicants either did not meet the qualifications for a councilmember or have withdrawn.

 

Anyone wishing to view the candidate applications may read them in the City Council packet for January 21, 2025.
