Rose Gardeners
City of Longmont’s Memorial Rose Garden is located at the west end of Roosevelt Park. Volunteers learn about horticulture while gaining community pride, a sense of ownership and a better maintained Rose Garden!
Time Commitment
- Commit to one or more growing seasons! Plan to help between May and October, with 20-minute trainings offered in the spring for new rose gardeners. The exact seasonal work period and volunteer work required will depend on plant development and weather variations in a specific growing season.
Pollinator Gardeners
The City of Longmont is working to create and maintain several gardens with a focus on promoting pollinator health, demonstrating xeric alternatives to turf, and emphasizing native plant species whenever possible.
