Contractor Licensing Policies
- The City of Longmont does have offer reciprocal licensing with other jurisdictions.
- The City accepts current exam result certificates issued by the International Code Council (ICC).
- Accepted ICC exam results must be based on:
- The currently adopted code, or
- One prior code cycle from the currently adopted code.
- Accepted ICC exam results must be based on:

Contractor Exam Scheduling
Standardized contractor exams are administered through ICC-approved testing providers, including Pearson VUE.

License Renewal Quiz Requirements
(Mechanical and General Contractors Only)
Contractors renewing a Mechanical or General Contractor license must submit a quiz completion certificate per code cycle as part of the license renewal application.
