Pawnbroker Licensing
Pawnbrokers are required to obtain a license to operate in City limits. There are also special record keeping requirements that are described in the municipal code linked below.
A Pawnbroker, as defined in Longmont Municipal Code, Chapter 6.56, is any person who advances or loans money, or other valuable thing, on the deposit of personal security, or who deals in the purchasing of personal property on the condition of selling the same back at a stipulated price.
