The City of Longmont offers free paper shredding events  for Longmont households every month. Gather up to three regular file size boxes of your personal and sensitive documents in a box or bag and bring them down and have them securely shredded! Shred events are only for residents - No businesses materials accepted.

Document shredding events are held at Green Girl Recycling located at 21 S. Sunset Street.

For City of Longmont Residents

This free event is for all City of Longmont residents. It is intended to support the recycling of shredded paper because shredded paper is not accepted in your curbside recycle or organics cart organics.

• Required: Please bring a current City of Longmont Utility Bill and identification to show that you are a City resident.
• Bring up to three regular file size boxes of your personal and sensitive documents in a box or bag.
• Non-residents and businesses are not accepted at these events. Contact Green Girl Recycling to schedule your document shredding needs (fees apply).
