Mandatory Court Appearance
A Mandatory Appearance in court is required for traffic offenses, charter and ordinance violations. You are required to appear in court on the date and time listed on your Summons and Complaint (“citation” or “ticket”). Early online payment is not allowed. After your appearance, any fines and costs that are assessed may be paid online, by phone, in person, or by mail.
Traffic Infractions – Penalty Assessment
For Traffic Infractions only, you may choose to “plead guilty” and pay the assessed fine and costs amount in advance. A conviction enters and points against your driver’s license will be assessed. You will need to pay your ticket before 5:00 p.m. on the day before your case is set for appearance. If you pay in full prior to your court appearance date, you will not be required to appear in court. You are required to appear in person if you have not paid your ticket in advance.
Payment Options
If paying with a debit or credit card, vendor and/or credit card fees will be applicable. Payments made online or by phone can take 2-4 business days to process and post on our site. We honor the payment date submitted in the shopping cart as the paid date.

Paying in full prior to your court appearance enters a plea of Guilty to the Traffic Infraction. Points will be assessed against your driving privilege. If you are mailing payment, sign the back of the summons and complaint and mail that with a check or money order made payable to “City of Longmont Municipal Court” and include your summons number in the Memo line.
Partial payments are not accepted unless authorized by the court. Do not send cash.
The Longmont Municipal Court is open Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00, excluding City and National Holidays.

Attorneys:
If Court staff have not already invited you to the site, an ‘attorney user’ account will need to be created.
Send an email to court@longmontcolorado.gov. An invitation will send within 48 business hours. All service will be done electronically pursuant to C.R.C.P. 5(b)(2)(D). This will allow you to file into any case before the City of Longmont Municipal Court.
Pro-Se Defendants:
For pro-se defendants who wish the ability to file into their case, a ‘defendant’ account will need to be created.
Send an email to court@longmontcolorado.gov including your name, docket or citation number, and any other relevant information. An invitation will send within 48 business hours. All future service will be done electronically pursuant to C.R.C.P. 5(b)(2)(D). This will allow you to file into your case.
For juvenile defendant parents/guardians only:
Juvenile defendant records may or may not be readily viewable through the online records portal. Parent/guardians who wish the ability to file into their ward’s case, a ‘parent/guardian’ account will need to be created.
Send an email to court@longmontcolorado.gov including your name, your juvenile’s name, docket/citation number, and any other relevant information. An invitation will send within 48 business hours. All future service will be done electronically pursuant to C.R.C.P. 5(b)(2)(D). This will allow you to file into your juvenile’s case.
