Starting Tuesday, October 8, the traffic signal at the intersection of Coffman Street and Longs Peak Avenue will be set to a flashing red signal. This will indicate a 4-way stop for vehicles approaching the intersection. Drivers should follow the rules of a 4-way stop, as well as always yielding to pedestrians crossing the intersection. 

During construction on the intersection, temporary 4-way stop signs will be installed and the traffic signal arm will be removed. These stop signs will be in place for approximately 6 months to control traffic flow through the intersection. All vehicles will be required to stop and continue to follow the rules of a 4-way stop. A new permanent traffic signal will be installed, and the 4-way stop signs will be removed, when construction on the intersection is completed for the Coffman Street Mobility Improvements project.  

As a reminder, southbound Coffman Street is currently closed between 9th Avenue and 6th Avenue. Therefore, vehicles will not be approaching the intersection from the north. However, travelers should be aware of construction equipment moving through the area.
