Beginning Sept. 2, the Development Services Center (385 Kimbark St) will be closed to the public every Wed, 8 – 11 am.

Both Pace Street Entrances to Fox Creek Village/King Soopers Closed Overnight Sept. 24-25

Both entrances to Fox Creek Village, commonly known as the King Soopers shopping center at 1611 Pace St., will be closed overnight from 9 pm Thursday, Sept. 24, through noon Friday, Sept. 25, as part of the City of Longmont’s Pace Street Improvements Project.

 

During the closure, vehicles will not be able to enter or exit the shopping center directly from Pace Street. Access will remain available from 17th Avenue on the north side of the shopping center.

 

Vehicle Detours

 

Northbound traffic on Pace Street:

  • Continue north on Pace Street to 17th Avenue.
  • Turn left onto 17th Avenue.
  • Enter the shopping center from 17th Avenue.

 

Southbound traffic on Pace Street:

  • Continue to Mountain View Avenue and turn right.
  • Turn right onto Alpine Street.
  • Turn right onto 17th Avenue.
  • Enter the shopping center from 17th Avenue.

 

Pedestrian Detours

 

Drivers may exit using either 17th Avenue or the northern entrance on Pace Street. Follow posted detour signs.

Pedestrian access across the Pace Street entrances will also be closed. Pedestrians should:

  • Use W. Red Oak Drive to access the shopping center from the rear; or
  • Cross Pace Street at the pedestrian crossing at W. Red Oak Drive, continue north along Pace Street to 17th Avenue, and cross Pace Street again at 17th Avenue to access the shopping center from the north.

 

Business access will be maintained throughout the closure. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to follow posted detour signs, allow extra travel time and use caution near the work zone.
