Construction begins Oct. 5 on Hover St. Bridge Over Oligarchy Ditch

The City of Longmont started construction on the Hover Street bridge that crosses the Oligarchy Ditch on October 5, 2026. The project will repair the joints at both ends of the bridge, replace concrete paving on the approach roadways, and replace the pedestrian railing. The completion of this work will improve the driver experience, address sidewalk unevenness and extend the service life of the bridge.

 

During construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Hover St. over the bridge. Travelers are encouraged to expect delays and to use alternate routes as available. Please use caution when driving through the construction zone and follow posted signage.
