Upcoming Construction Impacts at the Intersection of  Coffman Street and Longs Peak Avenue

Starting Monday, April 7, Longs Peak Avenue will be closed just east of the intersection at Coffman Street for approximately one week. This closure is necessary to pave the intersection for the Coffman Street Mobility Improvements project. During the closure:

  • The intersection at Coffman Street and Longs Peak Avenue will be closed to all through traffic.
  • The two parking spaces on the north side of Longs Peak Avenue closest to Coffman Street will be closed.
  • Eastbound traffic on Longs Peak Avenue will be able to turn right onto southbound Coffman Street but traffic will not be allowed to travel through the intersection.
  • Westbound traffic will need to turn around and exit back to Main Street or use the alley between Main Street and Coffman Street.
  • The northbound lane of Coffman Street is currently closed from 2nd Avenue to 9th Avenue.
  • Access to all businesses on Longs Peak Avenue east of Coffman St. will remain open from Main Street and the alley.

Please check the Coffman Street Mobility Improvements Project webpage for updates on the status of construction and potential traffic impacts.  We encourage the public to support businesses along Coffman Street and adjacent blocks throughout construction. Various parking options can be found on the DowntownLongmont.com parking webpage

Questions or concerns regarding the project should be directed to the project hotline at 720-432-7058 or CoffmanStreetMobility@longmontcolorado.gov.
