Full Closure of 6th Avenue Starting September 26

Between Coffman Street and the Alley East of Terry Street

For approximately three weeks starting September 26, there will be a full closure of both lanes of traffic and all parking on 6th Avenue for a half block west of Coffman Street. The alley between Coffman Street and Terry Street will remain open. Local access and parking will be allowed from Terry Street to the alley.

Vehicles on Coffman Street will be prohibited from turning west onto 6th Avenue. All traffic will be detoured to Longs Peak Avenue or 5th Avenue. Currently, only northbound traffic is permitted on Coffman Street between 6th Avenue and 9th Avenue. Business access is fully open on both sides of Coffman Street from the northbound lanes.

Please check the Coffman Street Mobility Improvements Project webpage for updates on the status of construction and potential traffic impacts. We encourage the public to support businesses along Coffman Street and adjacent blocks throughout construction. Various parking options can be found on the Downtown Longmont Parking webpage.

Questions or concerns regarding the project should be directed to the project hotline at 720-432-7058 or CoffmanStreetMobility@longmontcolorado.gov. Â
