Longmont Showcases 2025 Progress towards Citywide Goals
Curious about how the City of Longmont is moving toward a more sustainable, connected future? The City tracks progress towards seven citywide plans, including Envision Longmont, the multimodal and comprehensive plan, and Sustainability Plan, through the Longmont Indicators website.
This easy-to-use resource, available in English and Spanish, shows how we’re doing in areas that matter most, including:
- Annual citywide indicators that measure progress.
- Updates on actions and projects happening across the community.
- Greenhouse gas emission modeling tools.
City staff recently completed the 2025 end-of-year update to the site, showcasing major accomplishments and new initiatives, including:
- Community-Driven Cooling Solutions, Whole Home Health, and Growing Shade projects to help the community become more resilient to rising temperatures.
- Expanded programs run by the Sustainability Office, including Sustainable Home Consultations, the Sustainable Business Program, the Equitable Climate Action Team and education to businesses on the Universal Recycling Ordinance.
- Progress in energy, water, and waste conservation and parks development projects.

Climate Leadership Recognition
The City of Longmont’s commitment to climate action earned the City an “A-” score from the global Climate Disclosure Project (CDP) in 2025. The CDP evaluates and benchmarks cities worldwide on their efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to a changing climate. This recognition places Longmont among leading communities in sustainability.
