One-Way Traffic and Driveway Closures Scheduled between Sept. 18 – Sept. 26

The City of Longmont will repave Coffman Street between 2nd Avenue and 4th Avenue as part of the Coffman Street Mobility Improvements project. This work includes milling on Coffman Street (Sept. 18-19) and final paving (Sept. 25-26). There will also be work at the 2nd and 3rd Avenue intersections (Sept. 18-22).

 

Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. There will be directional lane closures and drivers should expect one-way traffic, intersection closures and temporary driveway closures based on the location and time of day. Please note that these dates/times are subject to change based on weather and other factors.

 

2nd Avenue to 4th Avenue: Thursday, Sept. 18 – Friday, Sept. 19

• • Milling operations on the east side of Coffman Street between 2nd Avenue and 4th Avenue.
  • Alternating lane closures on both sides of Coffman Street in these blocks.
  • Lane closures on 3rd Avenue across Coffman Street. One lane of traffic will remain open in both directions.
  • No parking on either side of Coffman Street or 3rd Avenue near the intersection.
  • Temporary driveway closures on both sides of Coffman Street.

 

2nd Avenue and Coffman Street Intersection: Friday, Sept. 19 – Monday, Sept. 22

• • Coffman Street will be closed to all traffic from 2nd Avenue to approximately 100 feet north of 2nd Avenue. One lane of traffic on 2nd Avenue open in each direction.
  • Access to residences, businesses, and the Post Office from 3rd Avenue.
  • Sidewalk on the north side of 2nd Avenue closed across Coffman Street.

 

2nd Avenue to 3rd Avenue: Tuesday, Sept. 23

• • Southbound Coffman Street closed. One-way northbound traffic only.
  • Temporary driveway closures on the west side of Coffman Street.

 

2nd Avenue to 4th Avenue: Thursday, Sept. 25 – Friday, Sept. 26

• • Paving operations on Coffman Street from 2nd Avenue to 4th Avenue.
  • Alternating lane closures on both sides of Coffman Street in these blocks.
  • Lane closures on 3rd Avenue across Coffman Street. One lane of traffic will remain open in both directions.
  • No parking on either side of Coffman Street or 3rd Avenue near the intersection.
  • Temporary driveway closures on both east and west sides of Coffman Street.

 

Please plan ahead to move vehicles in or out of affected driveways before work begins. Expect delays at intersections and follow posted detours. The City appreciates your patience during these improvements.
