Library’s Summer Reading Program Begins May 21
The Library’s biggest reading challenge is just around the corner!
Summer is a time to relax, explore, and try new things. It is also when students tend to lose reading skills they worked hard to build during the school year. Our Summer Reading program helps prevent this “summer slide” and invites its participants to engage with the Library in a variety of ways all summer long. Just a little reading each day keeps minds active and builds lifelong reading habits. Summer BINGO board activities change every year; it’s easy and fun to participate!
Summer reading runs from May 21 through July 31. Participants who complete challenges can win prizes while supplies last. Learn more at bit.ly/summerreading2026 or call the Library, at 303-651-8470. Kids, Teens and adults are all invited to join the challenge.
Summer Reading Kick-off Party
Celebrate the start of Summer Reading at the Summer Reading Kick-Off Party on the Library’s west patio, Thursday, May 21, from 6 to 7 pm.
There will be live music from local sister-sister punk band RLY ORY from 6 to 6:30 pm, then a quieter celebration from 6:30-7 pm. Pick up kids and teens BINGO boards, reading punch cards for adults, new summer event brochures, meet librarians, and play lawn games.
We hope to see you next Thursday!
