Rough and Ready Greenway Trail Temporarily Closed Aug. 18-25 for Final Cleanup

Concrete path with grass on one side and a tree and shrubbery to the other side.

The Rough & Ready Greenway Trail between 9th Avenue and Mountain View Avenue will be temporarily closed from Aug. 18-25 while crews complete final cleanup and finishing work associated with the recently completed trail improvements.

The City announced in July that construction of the improved trail was complete and the trail had reopened to pedestrians and bicyclists. Some additional work is now needed along the corridor to put the finishing touches on the project. The temporary closure will allow crews to complete this work safely and efficiently.

During the closure, pedestrians and bicyclists should use surrounding sidewalks and streets while following all posted closure and detour signs. Trail users are encouraged to check the City’s Trail Status Map for current closure information.

The Rough & Ready Greenway Improvements project replaced sections of the former asphalt and concrete trail and created a continuous 8-foot-wide concrete path between 9th Avenue and Mountain View Avenue. The improvements brought the trail up to current City standards and improved accessibility for pedestrians and bicyclists.
