Temporary Closure of 5th Avenue East of the Intersection with Coffman Street for Paving

Starting Friday, April 11, 5th Avenue will be closed just east of the intersection at Coffman Street until Wednesday, April 16. This closure is necessary to pave the intersection for the Coffman Street Mobility Improvements project.

  • The parking spaces on east 5th Avenue closest to Coffman Street will be closed.
  • Eastbound traffic on 5th Avenue will be able to turn right onto southbound Coffman Street but traffic will not be allowed to travel through the intersection.
  • Westbound traffic on 5th Avenue will need to turn around and exit back to Main Street or use the alley between Main Street and Coffman Street.
  • Access to all businesses on 5th Avenue east of Coffman St. will remain open from Main Street and the alley.

Please check the Coffman Street Mobility Improvements Project webpage for updates on the status of construction and potential traffic impacts. We encourage the public to support businesses along Coffman Street and adjacent blocks throughout construction.
Various parking options can be found on the DowntownLongmont.com parking webpage.

Questions or concerns regarding the project should be directed to the project hotline at 720-432-7058 or CoffmanStreetMobility@longmontcolorado.gov.
