Celebrate Independence Day
Longmont’s July 4 is bursting with fun – literally! Kick things off with a symphony concert, then party in the streets with three music stages, games, axe throwing and a sky full of drones and fireworks. It’s all happening July 4, and it’s all free. Details at Longmont fireworks online.

 

Holiday Schedules for City Facilities
Most City facilities will be closed on Friday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday, except for select recreation facilities with special holiday hours. You can find full holiday closure details and schedules online.

 

July 4 Aqua Zumba® at Sunset Pool

Downtown Summer Arts & Music Series
Save the dates: Saturdays, July 12, and August 9 for the combination of Downtown Summer Concerts with ArtWalk’s Summer on the Streets. These monthly street concerts at 4th and Kimbark feature local food, drinks, kids activities, artists, makers and live music. Bring the whole family at 4:30 for a short, interactive, kid-focused performance to start the festivities, and stick around for music from talented local and regional bands. And new this year – a full vendor market! Visit numerous artist & maker booths hosted by Firehouse Art Center while you enjoy the summer vibes and enjoy dancing in the street to live local music. Free Rain Barrel Webinar
The Keep it Clean Partnership and Boulder County Resource Conservation Division are hosting a free rain barrel webinar on Thursday, July 17 from 6 to 7:15 pm. Learn about how to choose, install, and maintain a rain barrel. This presentation will include example photos from Boulder County residents who have installed rain barrels this year, as well as tips and tricks for the installation process.
