Community Services Job Fair
The City’s Community Services Department is hosting a job fair from noon to 3 pm on Sunday, March 27, to fill a wide variety of positions in 2022. Join other job-seekers in the lobby of the Recreation Center, 310 Quail Road, for open interviews with Longmont Recreation, Golf, Senior Services and the Longmont Museum. Positions available include lifeguards and pool managers, grounds maintenance, front desk staff, fitness instructors, day camp leaders, custodians, concessions, sports officials, visitor services and more! 2nd Floor of Library Closed
The 2nd floor of the Longmont Library is closed to patrons and staff until late spring to replace the carpet and make any needed structural repairs. Patrons may check out materials and books through the online catalog at Longmont.FlatironsLibrary.org or through the self-checkout computers located by the front desk. On the Rise: Songwriter Showcase
Join Longmont’s own Bonnie & Taylor Sims at 7 pm on Thursday, March 24, at the Longmont Museum for an intimate evening of original music from singer-songwriters from across the Front Range and beyond. Volunteer for Downtown Clean & Green
Start your weekend off by helping spruce up Downtown from 8-11:30 am on Saturday, April 23. The Longmont Downtown Development Authority seeks volunteers to assist with picking up trash, cleaning structures, laying mulch and more. Tasty food and a T-shirt will be provided. Register for Underwater Easter Egg Hunt
Search for weighted eggs in the Leisure Pool at the Longmont Recreation Center, 310 Quail Road, during Recreation’s annual underwater hunt from 4-5 p.m. or 5:30-6:30 pm on Saturday, April 16. An adult age 16 or older must be in the water to support youth ages 5 and younger. Registration is required — no walk-ins will be accepted. In-person City Council Meetings Return
After a winter of hosting virtual council meetings, the Longmont City Council will return to the City Council Chambers in the Longmont Civic Center, located at 350 Kimbark St., beginning Tuesday, March 29. Meetings will be open to the public, and the Council will return to the customary format of seeing and hearing from the public face-to-face. Masking will be voluntary.
