Summer Day Camp
Longmont Recreation offers a traditional summer camp for youth ages 5-10 that meets weekdays throughout the summer. Registration begins February 1, 2025.
The Longmont Summer Day Camp is a state-licensed school-age program.
*Due to staffing shortages, 1:1 behavioral or personal care support is not available.

The Longmont Summer Day Camp is an approved CCAP site for Boulder, Larimer, and Weld Counties.
Expedition Tween Camp
This camp is a series of week-long, expedition-based program offered throughout the summer exclusively for 11 and 12 year-olds. Expedition Tween Camp is a licensed summer camp program.
The main camp location is the same as the Longmont Summer Camp, see information above.
Expedition Tween Camp is not CCAP eligible.
Recreation Specialty Summer Camps & Activities
Longmont Recreation offers a number staff-led and contractor-led summer camps. Ranging from 2 to 5 days, these short-term camps highlight various activities, sports, or crafts. Summer camp registration for short-term camps begins on March 1. The most current and accurate listing of summer camps can be both viewed and registered for online. Be sure to check back – we add additional camps throughout the spring and summer.

Family Fees
Longmont Recreation uses an online software, ePACT, to manage enrollment paperwork and permissions for both the Longmont Summer Camp and the Expedition Tween Camp. Upon enrollment, parents/guardians of newly enrolled campers will receive an email link to ePACT to complete the online requirements. For campers who have attended in the past, please log in to your ePACT account and update the information for this new year.

For the Longmont Summer Camp, every camper must complete a separate registration, however there is a single family registration fee regardless of number of children: $45 per resident family/ $56.25 per non-resident family for registrations taken through April 15. After April 15, the registration fee is $70 resident family/ $87.50 non-resident family. The family registration fee is non-refundable. The family registration fee covers enrollment of all campers in the Longmont Summer Day Camp.

- June 3 to August 2, 2024. Camp is available on Wednesday, June 19. No camp on Thursday, July 4.

General Weekly Schedule
Formal programming occurs between 9am and 4pm daily. Camper choice activities occur between 7am-9am & 4pm-5:30pm. We ask that all campers are dropped off by 9am if possible: later drop-offs are allowed, yet please allow up to 30 minutes to get your camper with their group and, if we are off site, know that you may need to meet us at our off-site location. The most forward pickup time is after 4pm.
- Mondays:Â On site all day
- Tuesdays:Â On site in the morning and swimming at Sunset Pool in the afternoon. Campers walk the mile there and back.
- Wednesdays:Â Contractors and special guests join us on site
- Thursdays: Field trips to local parks, generally leaving around 10am and returning to camp by 3:30pm. Wear your green camp t-shirt on Thursdays!
- Fridays:Â Swimming in the morning at Sunset Pool – walking both ways – and then an afternoon on site.

Expedition Tween Camp: Ages 11& 12

- Enrollment is for a week-long adventure.
- $380 resident per week/ $475 non-resident per week
*A week-long program, daily enrollment is NOT available. Care is not available before or after camp times.

Expedition Tween Summer Camp for ages 11 & 12:
This state-licensed, adventure-based summer camp featuring field trips every day!
This camp has a main focus of fun and adventure. Each day the campers will venture offsite to a field trip location in Longmont and the surrounding towns (swimming trips included). *Activities to be determined and are subject to change.

All Campers: About our 2024 Summer Camps
The mission of the City of Longmont, Recreation Services Summer Camp is to provide a safe and secure environment for kids to explore and achieve success through various recreational activities.
Both the Longmont Summer Camp and Expedition Tween accepts registrations on an ongoing, space-available basis. A fully completed enrollment packet, submitted online through ePACT, is required 7 days prior to camper attending camp.
The Longmont Summer Day Camp is a licensed summer camp program that runs for 9 weeks (from June 3 to Aug 2) for youth ages 5 to 10 years &, with Expedition Tween, for older youths ages 11 & 12. The maximum daily enrollment for the Longmont Summer Day Camp is for four base groups, each led by two staff, of no more than 30 youth each. There is also an option for youth ages 5-10 to attend a “Pre-Camp” from May 28-31 which is limited to two base groups of up to 20 youth each. The maximum weekly enrollment for Expedition Tween is thirteen youth.
For the Longmont Summer Day Camp, campers ages 5-10 enroll for only the days they plan on attending; campers must be registered and the registration fee paid in order to enroll for days. The daily fee is is $50 for residents and $62.50 for non-residents (no matter how many hours are attended that day). The family registration fee through April 15 is $45 resident/ $56.25 non-resident. After April 15, the family registration fee is $70 resident/ $87.50 non-resident. One family registration fee covers all campers attending the Longmont Summer Child Care. The family registration fee is non-refundable. Please note: Campers are billed for all days enrolled, regardless of attendance.
 For Expedition Tween, campers enroll for a week of fun adventures: the fee is the same regardless of how many days a camper attends during that week. There is no separate registration fee for Expedition Tween.
What should my camper bring to camp?
- Backpack/tote with two healthy snacks and a healthy lunch.
- Wear sunscreen and closed toe shoes (tennis shoes)
- Label possessions (sunscreen, towel, swim suit) with child’s name and store those in the backpack
- Clothing for the day (as applicable, a change of clothes for toileting accidents)
- For campers ages 5-10: wear green/neon yellow field trip shirt every Thursday (requested)
