Mayor’s Community Conversations
Beginning on Saturday, March 12, Longmont Mayor Joan Peck and Mayor Pro Tem Aren Rodriguez are hosting a series of four meet-ups for Longmont residents to talk about specific topics that are important to the community. The first meeting — from 9 to 10 am on Saturday, March 12, at Lashley Street Station, 1200 Lashley St. — will focus on homelessness. For more information, call 303-651-8601.

Longmont City Council to Return to In-person Meetings
After a winter of hosting virtual council meetings, the Longmont City Council will return to their familiar surroundings at the Longmont Civic Center, located at 350 Kimbark Street, beginning March 29 at 7 pm. Meetings will be open to the public and the council will return to the customary format of seeing and hearing from the public face-to-face. See upcoming agendas on the City Council webpage.

City of Longmont Job Fair at Longmont Recreation Center
Longmont Community Services Department is hosting a job fair in March to fill a variety of positions in 2022. Join us in the lobby of the Longmont Recreation Center at 310 Quail Road on either Wednesday, March 16 from 4 to 6 pm or Sunday, March 27 from 12 to 2 pm for open interviews.  Read the news release.

Friday Afternoon Concert at the Museum
Enjoy an afternoon of live music in the Longmont Museum’s state-of-the-art Stewart Auditorium starting at 2:30 pm on Friday, March 11. The Boulder Altitude Directive (BAD) is the voice for new chamber music in the Boulder area and and features a group of six elite professional performers from the University of Colorado College of Music. 2nd Floor of Library to Close Mid-March
The rehabilitation of the Longmont Library continues. Starting in mid-March, the Library’s 2nd floor will be closed to patrons and staff. Engineers will assess structural repairs and construction crews will install new carpet throughout the entire floor. During the closure, patrons may request items from the online catalog to be sent to the Longmont Public Library for pickup. The Computer Lab will be staffed and available for use on the 1st floor Meeting Room during open hours. View the latest updates on the project at bit.ly/FacilityProjects.

‘Clean Up Green Up’ Coming Soon!
The “Clean up Green Up” Campaign is coming soon! Kick off the campaign by joining City staff from 7:30 to 10:30 am on Saturday, April 2, at the City of Longmont Parks & Natural Resources Sunset Campus, 7 S. Sunset St. This year, there will be snacks and, of course, the famous 35-gallon orange trash and recycle bags to get you going. For those who can’t attend the kick-off event, “Clean Up Green Up” will run through April 23.
