Holiday Schedules for City facilities
Most City facilities will be closed Monday, May 30, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. The Waste Diversion Center will be closed. Trash, recycling and compost will be collected one day later than usual. Some Recreation facilities will remain open. Find the most up-to-date schedules at LongmontColorado.gov/Holidays.

Downtown Concerts Begin June 3
Grammy-nominated reggae legend Pato Banton will headline the opening night of the Summer Downtown Concert Series on Friday, June 3, at 4th Avenue and Kimbark Street. Head downtown every Friday in June from 6-9 pm for free music, dancing, food trucks, local craft beverages, kids activities and family-friendly community fun. Free Rockies Baseball Skills Challenge
Boys and girls ages 6-13 (as of Dec. 31, 2022) can showcase their talents in throwing, running and hitting during the free Rockies Skills Challenge from 9-10:30 am on Saturday, June 4, at Sandstone Ranch, 2525 Zlaten Drive. Winners will advance to the sectional and possible state competition later in the summer. Registration forms are available on-site before the event, and participants must provide a copy of their birth certificate. An adult signature is required to participate. Questions? June Mayor’s Meetup — Housing
Longmont Mayor Joan Peck and Mayor Pro Tem Aren Rodriguez next Mayor’s Meetup — from 9-10 am on Saturday, June 4, at Fire Station #5 Community Room, 617 Barberry Drive — will focus on housing and the issues, challenges and work being done to provide housing for all. Recreation Summer Job Fair
Join Recreation Services from noon-1:30 pm on Thursday, June 2, for on-site interviews at the Longmont Recreation Center, 310 Quail Road. Part-time and full-time summer positions are available — including day camp counselors, lifeguards, field technicians, sports officials, drivers and more — starting at $15.50 and up! Friends of the Longmont Library Book Sale
Be the first to browse by signing up to become a Friends of the Longmont Library member during the sale! Head to the Library’s lobby from 4-8 pm on Thursday, June 9, for a members-only night to buy adult fiction and non-fiction, books for teens, children’s books, vintage books, biographies, autobiographies, travel books and more.
