City Receives ‘Gold’ SolSmart Designation
Longmont’s encouragement of solar energy has reached a “golden” age. The City’s efforts have earned it a SolSmart Gold designation. SolSmart communities are recognized for their work in streamlining the solar process and reducing the soft costs of installing a solar energy system. Longmont became a SolSmart Bronze community in 2017 and received its Silver designation in 2020. Learn more about solar energy opportunities in Longmont at LongmontColorado.gov/LPC.

Compost, Don’t Trash!
You can’t escape dirty plates after Thanksgiving dinner but you can avoid filling up your trash by composting food waste instead. Sign up for composting at bit.ly/service-works or call the Customer Service Center at 303-651-8416.
