Traffic Impacts at the Intersection of Coffman Street and 5th Avenue West of Coffman Street
Traffic Impacts at the Intersection of Coffman Street and 5th Avenue West of Coffman Street
Starting July 2, there will be a full closure of both lanes of traffic on 5th Avenue just west of Coffman Street for approximately four weeks. This is necessary to complete concrete and asphalt work at the intersection. Local traffic and parking on 5th Avenue between Terry Street and Coffman Street will be open but vehicles will not be able to cross Coffman Street.
Traffic on 5th Avenue heading west from Main Street will be able to turn right onto northbound Coffman Street only. Traffic heading east on 5th Avenue from Bross Street will need to detour at Terry Street to 4th Avenue or 6th Avenue. No through traffic will be allowed.
Please check the Coffman Street Mobility Improvements Project webpage. webpage at for updates on the status of construction and potential traffic impacts. We encourage the public to support businesses along Coffman Street and adjacent blocks throughout construction. Various parking options can be found on the Downtown Longmont Parking webpage.
Questions or concerns regarding the project should be directed to the project hotline by calling 720-432-7058 or emailing CoffmanStreetMobility@longmontcolorado.gov.
