Memorial Bench Program

The City of Longmont offers both a Memorial Brick and a Memorial Bench Program. Each offers a powerful way to celebrate the life of a loved one. Select a bench location in one of Longmont’s beautiful City parks and create a legacy in a space that inspires peace, reflection and community connection.

Pricing

The cost of a new memorial bench is $3,500. This includes the bench, plaque, shipping, an ADA-accessible concrete pad (when/where applicable) and all installation. The cost to install a memorial plaque on an existing bench is $500.

Installation Schedule 

There are two installation periods per year when orders are filled. For orders received by the end of December, installations will occur the following spring. For orders received by the end of April, installations will occur in late summer.

How to Request a Memorial Bench

  1.  Visit the Memorial Bench Program digital map and identify a “Potential” or “Existing” bench location. Make sure to write down the Bench ID#.
  2. Complete a Memorial Bench Request in one of two ways:
  1. After receiving Memorial Bench Request, a staff member will contact you to finalize the details of your purchase.

Additional Details

  • The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires the City to provide an accessible route to all bench locations.
  • The City reserves the right to relocate a memorial bench to accommodate construction, maintenance or any other issues. The City will be considerate in relocating the bench as close as possible to the original location.
