Recreation Specialty Summer Camps & Activities
Longmont Recreation offers a number staff-led and contractor-led summer camps. Ranging from 2 to 5 days, these short-term camps highlight various activities, sports, or crafts. Summer camp registration for short-term camps begins Tuesday, April 15. The most current and accurate listing of summer camps can be both viewed and registered for online closer to the registration date. Be sure to check back – we add additional camps throughout the summer.

Longmont Summer Day Camp
Longmont Recreation offers a traditional summer camp for youth ages 5-10 that meets weekdays throughout the summer. Registration begins February 3, 2025.
The Longmont Summer Day Camp is a state-licensed school-age program. The Longmont Summer Day Camp is an approved CCAP site for Boulder, Larimer, and Weld Counties.

- Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Daily and weekly enrollment options:
- $52 resident/ $65 non-resident per day
- $237 resident/ $96.25 non-resident per week
Weekly Schedule
Formal programming runs from 9 AM to 4 PM daily. Camper choice activities happen from 7 to 9 AM and 4 to 5:30 PM. Please aim to drop off campers by 9 AM. If you need to drop off later, allow up to 30 minutes to get them with their group, and be prepared to meet us off-site if needed. Pickups begin after 4 PM.
Special activities are noted in brackets and are subject to change as we finalize our schedule in early May.
- Mondays: Alternating walking excursion (Park or Library).
- Tuesdays: On site in the morning and swimming at Sunset Pool in the afternoon. Campers walk the mile there and back.
- Wednesdays: Contractors and special guests join us on site.
- Thursdays: Field trips to local parks, generally leaving around 10am and returning to camp by 3:30pm. Wear your green camp t-shirt on Thursdays!
- Fridays: Swimming in the morning at Sunset Pool – walking both ways – and then an afternoon on site.
- Pre-camp – The Science Lab: May 27-May 30 *No Camp Monday *No swimming

- Week two – Pirates of Union Reservoir: June 9-13: [Wheels Day/Union Reservoir]
- Week three – Challenge: Facing Fears: June 16-20: [Butterfly Pavilion/Hover Park]
- Week four – Fairytale Fantasy: June 23-27: [Ricks Lanyards/Movie at the Museum]
- Week five – Happy Holidays: June 30- July 3: [Tie Dye/Sandstone Splash Pad]
- Week six – Under the Sea: July 7-11: [Oceans Institute/Union Reservoir]
- Week seven – Space Race: July 14-18: [Space Foundation/Bowling]
- Week eight –County Fair: July 21-25: [Ricks Lanyard’s/Hover Park]
- Week nine – Calling All Heros: July 28-August 1: [Wheels Day/Sandstone Splash Pad]
This camp is a series of week-long, expedition-based program offered throughout the summer exclusively for 11 and 12 year-olds. Expedition Tween Camp is a licensed summer camp program. Expedition Tween Camp is not CCAP eligible. Registration begins February 3, 2025.
Expedition Tween Camp is a series of week-long, expedition-based program offered throughout the summer exclusively for 11 and 12 year-olds. Daily enrollment is not available. Care is not available before or after camp times.This state-licensed, adventure-based summer camp features field trips every day! Each day the campers will venture offsite to a field trip location in Longmont and the surrounding towns (swimming trips included). *Activities to be determined and are subject to change. Daily enrollment is not available. Care is not available before or after camp times.

• Tuesdays: Easy to moderate hike in the morning and an indoor activity in the afternoon
• Wednesdays: Contractors and special guests join us on site with swimming at Sunset Pool in the afternoon.
• Thursdays: Local excursion in the morning and swimming at Sunset Pool in the afternoon.
• Fridays: Large offsite Excursion
• Week two – June 9-13: Pirates Coves Water Park/Stand Up Paddle Boarding
• Week three – June 16-20: Loveland Lazer Tag/Genesee Ropes Course
• Week four – June 23-27: Denver Selfie Museum/Murder Mystery at the Museum
• Week five – June 30- July 4: NO CAMP
• Week six – July 7-11: Brighton Oasis/Kayaking with Rocky Mountain Paddle Board
• Week seven – July 14-18: Top Golf/Get Air
• Week eight – July 21-25: Fort Fun/Gateway Park Fun Center
• Week nine – July 28-August 1: Bounce Empire/Boondocks
Campers enroll for a week of fun adventures: the fee is the same regardless of how many days a camper attends during that week. There is no separate registration fee for Expedition Tween.
