Hours

The cardboard and single stream drop-off bins are available 24/7 for single stream recyclables.

Yard waste, food waste compost, Styrofoam drop-off and metal drop-off areas are open Monday – Saturday from 8 am – 4 pm.

The Center is closed for holidays and may be closed for severe weather events that make access unsafe.

The Longmont Recycling Center is closed on Sundays and the following days:

• Martin Luther King Jr Day – Monday, Jan 15
• President’s Day – Monday, Feb. 19
• Memorial Day – Monday, May 27
• Juneteenth Holiday – Wednesday, June 19
• Independence Day – Thursday, July 4
• Labor Day – Monday, Sept. 2
• Veteran’s Day – (Observed Holiday) Monday, Nov. 11
• Thanksgiving Holiday closure – Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29
• Christmas Holiday – Wednesday, Dec. 25

• Used automotive and cooking oil (in no larger than one gallon containers and a maximum of 5 gallon per visit)

Hazardous Household Wastes

Waste Wizard

Our easy-to-use Waste Wizard helps you learn how to sort your waste properly, including which items can be dropped at the Longmont Recycling Center. Never again wonder if something is recyclable, compostable or destined for the trash. Just type in the name of the item, and the Waste Wizard tells you exactly what to do with it (or, in some cases, it even gives you several options). Ask the Waste Wizard about your item.

Fees

Incorporated City of Longmont residents have free use of the Longmont Recycling Center for their noncommercial use. Please see the Items Accepted section above for list of materials to bring to the Longmont Recycling Center.

• Required: Please bring your current City of Longmont Trash & Recycle utility bill and identification (Printed or Electronic) to show that you are a City of Longmont resident.

Non-City of Longmont residents, including landscapers, contractors and other hired service companies, can only dispose of tree limbs, branches, leaves and grass at the Longmont Recycling Center for a fee. All other materials will not be accepted. The fee rates are based on material size.

This site accepts only cash or checks.
