Year-Round, Self-Serve Disposal
Tree limbs, branches, bushes, leaves and small amounts of grass can be dropped off at the Longmont Recycling Center.
- Cut limbs and yard waste to manageable lengths and unload them at the designated area in the Center (please no trash, no plastic bags, or lumber).
- Limbs and yard waste are ground into mulch periodically, and is available to residents at the Center free of charge.
- The City does not guarantee the quality or availability of mulch.
- Access to the mulch is not allowed during grinding operations for safety reasons. Please check with the window attendant to find out an estimated date when the access to the mulch will be open again (typically available within a few days of the grinding operation).
- Load your own - the city cannot load mulch onto your vehicle or trailer.
Yard Waste and Tree Limb Drop Off Use and Fees
Incorporated City of Longmont residents have free use of the Longmont Recycling Center's tree limb drop off for their home branch and yard debris.
*Required: Please bring your current City of Longmont Trash & Recycle utility bill and identification (Printed or Electronic) to show that you are a City of Longmont resident.
Non-City of Longmont residents, including landscapers, contractors and other hired service companies, can dispose of yard waste and tree limbs for a fee.
