Water Rate Schedule

Metered residential, multi-family, small and large commercial, and irrigation customers are charged a monthly service charge based on meter size plus a volume charge per 1,000 gallons of water used. The typical residential customer has a 5/8-inch meter.

 

The Longmont City Council approved updated water rates in December 2019. View the water rate schedule for 2020-2024 and the Water Development Fees for the City of Longmont.

 

The rates below became effective January 1, 2023 and shall continue in effect until January 1, 2024.

Storm Drainage Fee

Each utility billing customer receiving service within the city shall be assessed and charged the following monthly user fee for operations and maintenance of the storm drainage system and for storm drainage capital improvements.

 

The rates below became effective January 1, 2024, and shall continue in effect until changed.

Wastewater Rate Schedule

Each user of the publicly owned treatment works (POTW) shall be charged a monthly service charge. Metered water users will be charged a monthly service charge, plus a volume charge. Unmetered water users will pay a flat rate.

 

 

Wastewater rates listed below became effective January 1, 2023. These wastewater rates shall continue in effect until changed.

Commercial Customers / Industrial Users Surcharge

Commercial customers may pay a surcharge for excessive pollutants. The sewer surcharge is billed through the Industrial Pre-treatment Program. Sewer surcharge provisions were created to achieve equity between treatment costs and charges for all users.

 

The rates below became effective January 1, 2017, and shall continue in effect until changed.
