Parade Route: 

Participate in the parade!

Your business or organization can enter this year’s parade in two ways:

1. Parade Registration Form. Fill it out and bring your complete form to the St. Vrain Memorial Building (700 Longs Peak Ave.) along with your payment and proof of insurance on the vehicle you will be driving in the parade
2. Register your float online by clicking here. Then send a copy of your proof of insurance to Sam.Calhoon@longmontcolorado.gov 

Please note: entries that have not submitted their proof of insurance by December 10, 2026 will not be allowed to participate.

• Height restrictions are due to electrical and telephone lines along the parade route.
  • Maximum length of float & tow vehicle = 50’ (feet)
  • Maximum width: 20’(feet)
  • Maximum Height: 12’ (feet)
• Each float trailer must be enclosed and decorated.
  • Please use fabric, sheeting, banner, etc. in addition to
    lights around the trailer.
• A minimum of 4,000 lights are required on towed float vehicles.
• Each float must have its own lights and a corresponding energy source for those lights.
• Sponsor Sign—3’x 6’ maximum. It is permissible to advertise with sponsor identification, but solicitations,
  such as free coupons or handouts are strictly prohibited.
• Vehicle pulling float must be either:
  • Disguised with decorations and lights that conform to the float theme, or
  • Decorated with holiday wreaths, greenery and/ or bunting depicting a holiday theme.
• A copy of vehicle insurance is required for all tow vehicles and vehicle entries.
• There is ONLY ONE SANTA CLAUS in the parade and he is provided by the parade sponsors. Please
  do not include a live Santa on your float.
• Throwing of objects, such as candy, is not permitted in order to avoid injury to spectators.
• All participants MUST be in appropriately themed costumes, outfits, or uniform. This INCLUDES all
  parade unit escorts or chaperones.
• NO OPEN FLAMES or Firearms of any kind.
• Alcoholic beverages and other controlled substances are forbidden, including all staging and disband
  areas. Participants consuming said substances prior to or during the parade will not be allowed to
  participate and will be removed from the line of march.
• Parade participants must keep pace with the line of march AS DIRECTED BY PARADE MARSHALS. All
  units must maintain forward motion during the parade.
• No counter marching or other maneuver contrary to the forward progress of the parade is allowed.
• Gaps are not allowed to occur.
• Children must be 13years of age to walk in parade. Children under 13 must be riding on a float and
  accompanied by a parent.
• All animals must be approved by the parade producers. City, State, and Federal ordinances and/ or laws
  apply to all participating animals.
• Excessive noise from floats is not permitted (i.e., revving up motors, honking of horn, loud music).
• The producers of the parade reserve the right to accept or reject any applicant.
