- Live in Longmont
- Be at least 21 years old
- Pass a drug screening, background check, and driving record check
- Be passionate about sustainability and willing to learn
- Complete all trainings
All Longmont Sustainability Ambassador volunteers are asked to commit to at least one year of service. Approximately 15 hours of training are required before you can become a certified to conduct appointments. This include several in-person meetings and self-paced video trainings. After training, volunteers are typically asked to volunteer at least eight hours per month. Schedules are flexible.
After completing training, you’ll submit your preferred schedule and will be paired with other experienced Longmont Sustainability Ambassadors. Appointments are never conducted alone.
All appointments are scheduled at least two weeks in advance so you can plan ahead. Residents opt into the program, therefore volunteers do not canvas neighborhoods, knock on doors, nor “cold call” potential participants.
