Everyone knows that the Front Range has beautiful natural attractions, but it is also home to some fine museums, galleries, adventures, and cultural attractions that expand our minds and teach us new things. The Friends of the Longmont Library is partnering with the following organizations to provide free (or discounted) entrance to our patrons.

Search by attraction or by date to reserve a pass, or browse each attraction in the drop down list and find your pass that way. Some details to know:
- You must have a Longmont Library Adult Resident library card to reserve a pass.
- There is no cost and you do not have to come to the Library to collect your pass.
- Library staff can print your pass for you at the Library.
- Passes may be reserved up to 30 days in advance.
- One pass for each museum may be reserved once per calendar year (365 days from date of last reservation).
- Changes or cancellations may be made up to 24 hours in advance by calling the Library Reference Desk at 303-651-8472.
Please read the details carefully and check the attraction’s website for more details when you reserve your pass; each organization has different rules and different operating hours.
Discovery Pass Partnering Organizations
If it creeps, crawls, slithers, flies, wiggles or squirms, chances are you’ll find it at the Butterfly Pavilion. Come for the butterflies. Then stay for the spiders, scorpions, millipedes, centipedes, horseshoe crabs, sea stars, and walking sticks.
- Pass is valid for one free admission and reduced admission price of $5 per person for up to four additional people.
- Passes not valid for workshops, classes, field trips, birthday parties, or public events such as Living Lights.
Experience the legacy of Clyfford Still, an artist whose life has been shrouded in mystery and the bulk of whose work has been hidden from public view for more than 30 years. The Clyfford Still museum includes approximately 3,125 works created by Clyfford Still between 1920 and 1980.
- Pass is valid for up to two adults (children are always free).
Denver Botanic Gardens strives to entertain and delight while spreading the collective wisdom of the Gardens through outreach, collaboration and education. Their conservation programs play a major role in saving species and protecting natural habitats for future generations.
The mission of Denver Botanic Gardens is to connect people with plants, especially plants from the Rocky Mountain region and similar regions around the world, providing delight and enlightenment to everyone.
Please check the website for early closure days. On those days, the pass will still be available, but the Gardens may close early for concerts and other events. Also, the Chatfield Farms location will be closed on the day after Thanksgiving each year.
- Pass is valid for up to 6 adults or children (over 2 years old) at either location on the day reserved.
Housed in Historic Station No. 1, the Denver Firefighters Museum tells the story of the Denver Fire Department. The self-guided tour weaves the city’s past with the history of firefighting in creative displays and hands-on activities that are entertaining and educational for visitors of all ages. Be sure to visit the Museum’s gift shop for unique one-of-a-kind items!
- Pass is valid for up to two adults and children younger than 18.
Dinosaur Ridge is a National Natural Landmark just outside suburban Denver. It has been ranked as the top dinosaur track site in the United States, and one of the top such sites in the world.
- Pass is valid for up to four people.
Explore the universe at Fiske Planetarium! Our fun, family-friendly full dome films and dazzling, immersive star shows will enchant and entertain kids of all ages.
- The pass is valid for 4 people
Fort Collins Museum of Discovery is a hands-on history, science, and culture museum, filled with interactive exhibits and fascinating collections that tell the stories of Northern Colorado and beyond.
- Pass is valid for up to seven people.
The Gardens on Spring Creek is the community botanic garden of Fort Collins. The 18-acre site opened in 2004 as part of an important partnership between the City of Fort Collins and the Friends of the Gardens on Spring Creek. The Gardens is City of Fort Collins facility.
- Pass is valid for up to eight people.
Housed in a distinctive contemporary building, The Longmont Museum features changing exhibits in history, art, and science, as well as the award-winning “Front Range Rising,” a long-term exhibit on the history and culture of this region.
The Museum also has hands-on education programs for all ages, indoor and outdoor concerts and performances, film series, lectures and a gift shop featuring local history books, souvenirs and exhibit related materials.
- Pass is valid for up to two adults and two children.
The Museum of Boulder showcases inclusive community stories, preserves them for the future, and inspires all of us to effect positive change.
- Pass is valid for one person.
Founded in 1994 Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum is Colorado’s Official Air & Space Museum. It is housed at the former Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Wings is dedicated to inspiring, educating and entertaining the public about aviation and space endeavors of the past, present and future.
Visitors will find more than 50 aircraft on display, thrilling flight simulator experiences and a learning center dedicated to the expansion of aerospace education in Colorado.

The WOW! Children’s Museum hosts a variety of art, science, dramatic play, and practical life exhibits designed for children ages 0-8 years to explore a variety of subjects, including STREAM, art, music, health, and practical life.
