Events and Programs

Accomplishments

 

  1. Program Wins: 1,000 Words and More; An Afternoon with Author Stephen Graham Jones; Books on the Chopping Block; LevelUp Longmont esports Tournament and Festival; Craft and Cocoa; Tech Classes (Filament February, Photography Composition, ChatGPT Translation); Science @ 6; College Admissions Bootcamp; College Applications Programs for Teens
  2. Hold pickup lockers finalized project plan and scheduled for installation and launch by Summer 2026.
  3. Summer reading success and substantial increases in child and teen participation from 2024; 2025 marks the highest level of participation since pre-2020.
  4. The library gets is very first 3D printer and printing service, available to the public for free!
  5. Children and Teen Services Department focused their outreach efforts to Title 1 elementary schools in our service area, which resulted in increased Summer-Reading participation.
  6. The Library gets a dedicated vehicle in anticipation of delivering holds and picking up returns from hold pickup locker locations, as well as to assist with Outreach programs and events.
  7. Staff entryways and elevator were updated with badge-entry access readers, to increase security of staff-only areas of the library.
  8. Teen Limited Use card now available to increase access for teenagers.
  9. Fewer fees: Replacement fees will not be assessed for children/teen materials checked out to children/teen cards.
  10. Representatives from each department brought back the Library’s internal newsletter, newly named “The Library Ledger,” in order to improve cross-departmental communication and share achievements and news.
