Longmont Museum presents robotics TEDx Salon
WHAT: TED is a worldwide phenomenon of short talks by leaders in their field. It comes to Longmont as a two-hour TEDx Salon event focusing on robotics. Speakers from local robotics companies will discuss the future role of robotics and the educational, ethical and innovative aspects of this growing industry. Tickets are $15.

WHERE: The Longmont Museum’s Stewart Auditorium, 400 Quail Rd in Longmont, CO 80501
WHY: “Education and robotics are two powerful forces for change in our society. As robotics becomes more a part of our day-to-day lives, it is also taking hold in our schools and classrooms,” said Axel Reitzig, Robotics and Computer Science Coordinator for the Saint Vrain Valley School District Innovation Center. “Robotics engages and challenges students as well as prepares them for a dynamic, undefined future. The Innovation Center of the St. Vrain Valley Schools is excited to co-host this talk on robotics in industry as well as in schools.”
“TEDx Longmont is where innovation, culture and technology intersect,” said David Ortolano, Events and Auditorium Manager at the Longmont Museum. “Our particular event will have kids presenting alongside some of the most successful robotics engineers and innovators in the county to share their experiences of how robotics is transforming their lives.”
