Longmont Public Safety now supports Smart911

Share with Longmont 9-1-1 before you need us.

  • People and Household Information. You can add key information about members of your household that would help anyone you care for in the event of an emergency, whether the call is from the home or any mobile phone.
  • Medical Information. No matter where you or your loved ones are, you can always have peace of mind that responders will know any critical medical condition and how to help before they even arrive
  • Address and Location Info. Giving responders visual details on an emergency location helps facilitate faster response, as does information on access points like hidden driveways or gate codes.
  • Other Info. You can also add as much or as little information about your vehicles, pets, service animals, along with any specific notes that you would want responders to know.

How Does Smart911 Work?

When you dial 9-1-1 from a phone registered with your Safety Profile, the 9-1-1 systems recognizes your phone number and automatically displays your profile on the screen of the call taker who receives your call.

At a time when you may be panicked, or unable to communicate, or it could be unsafe to communicate, Smart911 ensures that the details you would need to tell 9-1-1 are immediately available in the event you cannot verbally provide them. Smart911 is free, private and secure. You can change your information whenever you need to. It is your responsibility to keep the information up-to-date.

This new safety feature is available for any individual whose 9-1-1 call is received by one of the four 9-1-1 communication centers that operate in Boulder County, including: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, City of Boulder, City of Longmont and University of Colorado Police Department.
