Parking permits can be purchased for timed lots.Â
Yes, downtown parking is currently free; however, you do need to pay attention to the time limit zones or you could receive an overtime parking ticket.
You can purchase a parking permit for a timed lot.Â
Some downtown business owners provide parking for their employees; otherwise, most streets on the edge of downtown offer long-term parking. Look for areas without timed parking signs. The Longmont Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) also manages seven downtown parking lots, and a percentage of spaces in each lot is allocated for permit parking.
Parking permits for these lots are available for purchase.

APPEAL THE TICKET
If you would like to appeal the ticket, you may print and complete the Parking Citation Appeal Form. You may also request a form in person at the Civic Center. You have 20 days from the date the ticket was issued to appeal a ticket.
SPEAK TO STAFF ABOUT THE TICKET
You may email the City of Longmont parking enforcement staff or call them. You may also be able to reach them at this phone.
Yes, you may request that your ticket be reviewed through an informal administrative parking review process by submitting an Online Parking Citation Appeal Form or by printing and completing the Parking Citation Appeal Form. You have 20 days from the date the ticket was issued to appeal your ticket, and you will receive a decision within 20 days of your form submission. Please mail or bring your form, along with a copy of your original ticket, to the Parking Enforcement Office located at 350 Kimbark Street, Longmont, CO 80501.
You may also request a formal hearing instead of an informal administrative parking review if you are past the 20 day limit for the informal review or if you prefer to appear in person with a Hearing Officer present. To request a formal hearing, you must file a written request with the Longmont Municipal Court and pay a $25 hearing fee within 60 days from the date the ticket was issued. The hearing fee will only be refunded if the Hearing Officer determines that a parking infraction did not occur. There is no further recourse if the decision is upheld; parking tickets are a strict liability offense.
Certain violations warrant a tow warning, and that warning will have a date that you mist abide by before your vehicle is towed. If you have four or more unpaid parking tickets, your vehicle can be towed. You must pay your unpaid parking tickets to retrieve your vehicle from the tow yard.
If you have questions regarding the number of parking tickets you may have on file, please email or call.
There are a few reasons why your vehicle may have been towed: you have four or more unpaid parking tickets; your vehicle is blocking access to something such as a driveway or fire hydrant; or your vehicle is considered junked or abandoned.
Where has my vehicle been towed to? Please call Longmont Police Records, 225 Kimbark, Longmont for assistance in locating your vehicle.
Our Parking Enforcement Officers use a variety of tools when patrolling the streets, including a License Plate Recognition (LPR) system. LPR helps officers identify vehicles in violation of overtime parking. It can also be used to identify stolen vehicles and license plates, which are reported to the local law enforcement.
You can call the City of Longmont Parking Enforcement Office during business hours, Monday-Friday from 8 am – 5 pm, or email us. Parking Enforcement oversees downtown parking and illegal parking within the community.
If your complaint is about a vehicle parked on a public street for more than 72 hours, or about a vehicle parked on a public street with a flat tire or expired license plates, please email or call Code Enforcement. To report a vehicle after 5 pm or on weekends, you may call the Longmont Police non-emergency phone number or file an online police report (junked or abandoned vehicle).
