Subpoena Process for Serving Longmont Public Safety Staff

All subpoenas must be personally served on the named individual. Longmont Public Safety employees cannot accept service on behalf of another Longmont Public Safety staff member.

It is the individual public safety employee’s decision whether or not to waive service. You may contact the employee directly to inquire if he or she is willing to waive service and accept by email.  Employees are generally available for service during their scheduled shifts. Some employees work third shift and are unavailable during normal business hours.  Employees may be out for extended periods due to training, vacation or illness. If you have questions, you may contact their supervisor.

Any required fees for mileage, witness fees or document production must be tendered at the time of service.

Subpoena Duces Tecum

All subpoenas for Longmont Public Safety documents must be served on the individual custodian (please see chart below).
