Ice Rink Admission Fees 2025-2026
Admittance is included with annual, 3-month and 30-day recreation passes. Ice skate rental is an additional fee ($4/person) or you can bring your own skates. Bulk skate rental passes are available for purchase. See “Skate Rentals” below for details.
Bulk Pass Pricing: 10+ skaters
Ice skate rental + visit passes are available for 10 to 30 visits. They can be used by different people, are available for purchase online, and expire 5 years after issue date. Pricing is dependent on the number of visits purchased.
Resident Rate
- 10-19 punch pass: $9 per visit (includes skate rental)
- 20-30 punch pass: $8.75 per visit (includes skate rental)
Non Resident Rate
- 10-19 punch pass: $10.25 per visit (includes skate rental)
- 20-30 punch pass: $10 per visit (includes skate rental)
If you are bringing a group of 10+ guests to the rink during open skate, please let us know in advance. Call 303-774-3510 or email Joanna. Groups will pay the discounted group rate at the rink when they arrive; no need to purchase a pass in advance.

Ice Skate Rental Passes
Ice skate rental passes are available for 10 to 30 visits – $3.50/visit. They can be used by different people and expire 5 years after issue date.
Purchase skate rental passes online or at any recreation facility.
Passholder skate rentals – $4/visit – are available at the front counter during all general admission Open Skate or Hockey sessions. You can also purchase a skate rental pass. Learn about recreation passes.
Got a Helmet?  Helmets on the ice are optional, but if you would like to wear one, please bring one from home. Bike, Ski, Snowboard, Skateboard helmets all work!
Private Ice Skate Facility Rentals – 2025-26
Rent the entire Longmont Ice Pavilion! Rental skates are included in fees.
Afterhours Rentals
Reservations begin September 30 for private ice rentals for your party or group. Skater count and time of day affects pricing. Due to limited availability, dates are expected to fill early.

Private Rentals may enter the facility to decorate/set up and start getting ice skates 15 minutes before start of rental. Snacks, pizza, cake, hot chocolate, etc. can be brought inside the rink but must be kept in the picnic table area. No alcohol or glass bottles allowed.
Ice Hockey
The Longmont Ice Rink and Pavilion offers a variety of hockey programs for youth and adults.
Hockey League games are played on Sundays, Dec. 7 – March 1 (no games on Dec. 28).
Drop-In Hockey and Stick & Puck Sessions 2025-2026 Season
Please arrive at the facility ready to hit the ice, no changing tents will be available, and exit the facility as soon as your session has concluded. Only youth 8 & under can have the parent on the ice with them. Recreation passes are not valid.
Register in advance to secure your spot.
Session Definitions:

Adult Hockey Skills Class
Receive instruction on all skill aspects of hockey to develop and/or improve your skills. This is a great opportunity to learn the game, develop new skills, or improve on the ones you already have. Class is divided between instruction and a controlled scrimmage so you can practice your skills in a game environment. Fee includes a jersey.
Beginner Level:
- 7:30-9pm Mondays, Dec 1-29 or Jan 5 – March 2
Intermediate Level:
- 7:30-9pm Thursdays, Dec 4-18 or Jan 8 – Feb 26
For ages 18 and older. Enroll in a hockey skills class online.
Youth Hockey
The City of Longmont’s Youth Ice Hockey Program is a proud participant in USA Hockey through the Colorado Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA). Designed for players ages 5–18, the program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship for both new and returning players.
Registration includes:
- Two practices and one game per week
- Team jersey
- Rental hockey skates (if needed)
All participants must also register with USA Hockey and provide their USA Hockey number when signing up with the City of Longmont. Enroll in the Longmont Ice Pavilion youth hockey league
Registration is ongoing on a space-available basis.

The Puck o’ the Irish is back for another round of great hockey action! Two divisions will be offered: Competitive (A), Recreational (B/C). Get a team together and play in this fast-paced tournament format. All games will be refereed by refs from the Colorado Ice Hockey Referees Association.
Person registering team will be primary point of contact for any notifications. Please make sure email and phone numbers are up to date. Opportunity to fill in Team Name during registration.
Free Agent Registration Option- Players with no team, will be added to teams in need. Full refund if unable to join a team.

Format: 4-game minimum, top two teams in each division compete for championship
Teams: 8 players, plus 1 goalie, maximum, 4 players minimum.
Full hockey gear required
Details:
Format: 4 on 4 plus goalies. Two 20-minute run time periods. 3-minute warm-up, 2-minute intermission. Teams must have their players ready to skate at scheduled game start times, game starts will not be delayed for teams that are not ready.
Overtime: Any game that ends after regulation time in a tie will go to overtime. Overtime during divisional games will be one 5-minute sudden death period of 3 on 3 to be followed by a three-person shootout. Championship games will be allowed three 5-minute sudden death periods followed by a shootout if needed.
Rules: USA Hockey Rules will be followed. Rink specific rule: Any puck that goes into the perimeter netting but bounces back into play will be a live puck. Pucks that remain in the netting will be blown dead. There is no checking allowed due to our board configuration.
Games will be referred by one referee from Colorado Ice Hockey Referee Association.
Penalties: Penalties will be called per USA Hockey guidelines. Penalties will be served in the rink seating area on the south side of the rink. Any penalty for fighting will result in the immediate disqualification of the offending player(s) from the tournament with no substitution allowed. A second fighting penalty by one team will result in the disqualification of the team from the tournament.
Standings Tie Breakers: Any tie in the divisional standings will be resolved by result of head-to-head competition and then by least goals against.
Time Outs: One 2-minute time out per game per team. An additional time out will be available for each team in overtime of Sunday’s seeded games.
Park Rules: No alcohol allowed.
Amenities: We do not have any locker or changing rooms so dress with that in mind. Water and Gatorade will be available, as well as fruit and bagels for morning games.
