The City of Longmont Sustainable Business Program is offering a limited-time water conservation pilot for food service and grocery businesses. Participating businesses may receive one (1) water-saving device to help reduce water use and lower operational costs.

Available Equipment
Limit one per eligible business.
Boss Defrost Unit
A water-saving appliance designed for professional kitchens to safely thaw sealed, frozen food. Many kitchens thaw food under continuously running water — a process that can waste hundreds of gallons of potable water per use.
Benefits:
• Uses 98.5% less water than traditional thawing methods
• Recirculates just 5 gallons of water
Portable and easily fits into your existing commercial kitchen sink
• Helps reduce water bills and operational costs
Eligibility:
• Must have a designated defrosting sink
Push-Valve / Automatic Faucet
Reduce unnecessary water use in public restrooms.
Benefits:
• Prevent continuous water flow
• Reduce water waste in high-use restrooms
Eligibility:
• Must provide public restroom access
• Must serve 25+ seated customers per day
Important Offer Details
• Each business may receive only ONE device
• Equipment is available on a limited basis
• Devices are distributed based on eligibility and availability
How to Participate
Step 1: Enroll your business in the Sustainable Business Program. Membership is quick, easy, and free!
Step 2: Contact the Sustainable Business Program to reserve your water-saving device
Step 3: Complete a free 30-minute onsite efficiency assessment of your water, energy, and waste systems through Boulder County Partners for a Clean Environment (PACE)
Step 4: Receive your water-saving device (if eligible)
